Candidate for WFNS President-Elect
December 2025, Dubai UAE
Kee B. Park, MD, MPH
Co-Director, MGB Global Neurosurgery
Director of Policy and Advocacy,
Program in Global Surgery and Social Change
Harvard Medical School

"My servant leadership approach will be bold, transparent, and inclusive."
Why is Kee Park running for the President-Elect of the WFNS?
The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, once the proud and respected unifying body for over 130 societies with 70,000 neurosurgeons worldwide, is facing an existential crisis due to three main factors:
Governance Paralysis & Infighting
Membership
Attrition
Lack of
Strategic Unity

Officer-level disputes have stalled progress and eroded trust in leadership. A lawsuit from an ousted society threatens the entire assets of the WFNS.
Societies have withdrawn or become inactive, signaling a crisis of confidence. Some of the major due paying societies are withholding dues, resulting in constrained finances.
Without a coherent global strategy and solidarity the organization lacks unified voice and purpose.
Kee Park's
3-Pronged
Reform Plan
The member societies of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies can no longer accept the status quo. A new generation of neurosurgeons demands integrity, inclusivity, and bold leadership.
With a clear reform pathway, WFNS can rise again—stronger, fairer, and more effective in shaping the future of neurosurgical care
for all.
